How to study history || Memorization tips


Some students find difficulty in studying various subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Math, History, etc. But remember that there is a solution of each problem. Student must use some techniques to solve this type of problem. Always remember that there is nothing impossible in the world. Because “IMPOSSIBLE” says that “I’M POSSIBLE” but there is a need of hardworking, consistency and loyalty. If you are loyal to your aim, then nothing is impossible in this world. Today I will tell you some tips which will help you to study “HISTORY” Let’s start!

WORKING IN CLASS

TAKING NOTES: When you are in college or in a university. I strongly recommend you to record lectures in audio format. If you want to make notes, I will recommend you OneNote app for this purpose. This means that your notes are available on your desktop. Try to upload your notes on One drive or on Google drive. After uploading you will be able to access your notes any where in the world when you are faraway from your computer.

LISTEN LECTURES: If you have recorded your lectures, then listen them again and again. While listening your recorded lectures write them on your note book or in OneNote app. This will help you to understand that how lecturer links their points.

WHEN REVISING OR STUDYING

Always keep in mind that history is narrative. It means that history is a story which follows a logical order. If you understand the sequence of different events and happenings and links between their happenings and reasons, you will be an expert of history.

MAKE FLASH CARDS: Make some flash cards to understand the sequence of events and happenings of history. Flash cards include figures, events and dates.

PREPARE ESSAYS: If you want to prepare yourself for the exam of history, then try to prepare essays about history. One essay must consist of a topic with full details. This method allows you to create links between your ideas and knowledge.

TEACH SOMEONE: This is a most favourite technique for memorization of history particularly dates and events of history. It means teaching to someone makes your information more and more perfect.

WHEN WORKING ON ESSAYS

PLAN YOUR NEEDS: Plan, research, write, check, reference. Make a list about the content of essay. These key points will help you to write and learn with a beautiful sequence. And it is easy to learn history in essay type with this sequence.

FINISHING OF ESSAY:  Always do your work on time. For example complete your essay one day before the date of submission. This will give you a lot of time to review your essay. Review helps you to remove mistakes from your notes.
